You walk to where the sand meets a small open field, and the path to The Oldwood lies ahead. After a short walk through the field with the sound of waves at your back, you make your way into The Oldwood by means of its narrow trail cutting through the treeline. The canopy of the trees overhead blocks out the sun and cloaks the forest in impenetrable darkness. Today, the forest is quiet, and the sound of birdsong and the bleating of the forest creatures doesn’t grace your ears. After an hour or so of walking, you come across the old, familiar fork in the road where the forest becomes less dense and the sunlight graces your skin, the path to the shrine on your right and the path ahead to Ravenport. The shrine is a place you’ve been before, a small but ornate building sitting on a beautiful lake of turquoise. The stillness there is unlike anything else. It’s one of the most lovely places in all of Solitude.
